Another PA day is on the way
It may seem like school has just gone back, but in no time flat there will be another PA day for your child to play hockey during instead of going to school!
On February 3rd, both elementary and secondary Halton schools have a scheduled PA day, and that means The Burlington Pond is once again welcoming students to come and play hockey all day long.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of participating in our PA day camps yet, you’re in for a great treat. Students can choose between a full or half day camp – which both offer a great mix of instructional sessions and fun activities.
Half day campers will arrive at The Pond for 9 a.m. where they will participate in two instructional on-ice sessions, which focus on power skating and puck control. These campers will also get to spend some time participating in a fun activity right here in our party room.
If your child opts for the full day camp, they’ll also spend two hours in instructions sessions, also focusing on power skating and puck control, plus they’ll get to spend an extra hour on the ice playing games. Starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m., the full day camp time is interspersed with more fun off-ice activities, such as making crafts, and of course the kids also take some time to enjoy their home-packed lunch.
With the hockey season well underway, now is a great time for your player to continue to work on and develop their skating and shooting skills. Our camps focus on this development and often our students see an improvement in as little as one or two sessions.
To register your student in a full or half-day camp at The Pond this February 3rd PA day, please complete our easy online registration form or e-mail us at clinics@thepond.ca.
